I work with styles guides and other document requirements, so I request them before working on a document.

I accept documents in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Google Docs, and PDFs. I work with US, UK, Canadian, and Australian English. I do not check for citation errors or do any major formatting edits. However, I will make comments if something seems amiss.

Copy Edit Pricing

Pricing is in USD and largely based on the editorial rates described by the Editorial Freelancers Association. The prices below do, however, depend on your project type and length and are subject to change based on your project’s needs. We will work out the best option for you after discussing your project.

I also offer sample edits for the same corresponding prices. We can discuss the size of the sample you would like to have done, but generally, it’s best to sample at least 1,000 words or 4 pages, depending on the project.

Ordering

You can contact me about your project through the form below.

I accept payments through Square and PayPal.

For Flat Fees: For short projects, I require payment in full before I start working on them. For longer projects, I require a down payment of 50% the total agreed-upon price. After finishing the service, I require the remaining amount to be paid before I send you the finished product. (Jobs paid per hour have more elements to consider, so the payment plan will need to be further discussed.)

Independent Contracting: If you are looking for a more long-term relationship with your editor, I am also available for independent contracting. To discuss that option, just reach out to me with the form below.

In all instances, if we decide to work together, I’ll first provide a contract for us to sign in order to protect both of our interests. For the refund and late payment policies, you can find them on the FAQ page.
